The Sovereign Nomad Expedition is an open-ended overland journey to explore the landscapes, people, and experiences while documenting it through photography, story telling, and Field Notes.

EXPEDITION STATUS
​Status: Montana exploration.
It's been a minute! Since my last update, I attended the Overland Expo Mountain West in Loveland, CO (Getting too commercialized - its lost all of its appeal), the Black Hills of South Dakota (still one of my favorite places!), Theodore Roosavelt National Park (Kinda cool to see once if you are in the area - hit me up for a spectacular boondock site!), the Beartooth Highway, Yellowstone & Gardiner, MT, and currently in Bozeman, MT.
Next stops are Big Sky, Butte, and then Helena, MT!
Current Focus:
-Tending my fire and thriving.
-Focusing on the man I'm becoming.
-Practicing balance.
Phase I:
-Curt Gowdy State Park WY
-Black Hills SD
-Bighorn Mountains WY
-Theodore Roosevelt National Park + Little Badlands + Little Missouri State Park ND
-Glacier National Park (Moved to July 2026)
-Beartooth Highway enroute to Yellowstone National Park WY
-Explore SW Montana (Bozeman, Big Sky, Butte, Helena, Missoula, Whitefish)
-Grand Tetons NP? (Shifting to July 2026)
-Stanley, ID + Redfish Lake
-Sawtooth Mountains (ID)
-Leavenworth, WA for Octoberfest + Surrounding area
-North Cascades National Park + Mount Baker area
-Mount Ranier
-Olympic Peninsula + Hoh Rain Forest
-Oregon: The coast, Crater Lake, Bend, Waldo Lake and many other places (falls, lakes, rivers, mountains, etc)
-Begin the journey back to Kansas in December 2026 to visit with the kids and a reset for Phase II (Heading Southwest for the winter!)
MY WHY...
To explore America and myself through travel, experiences, photography, and simple living. To challenge old assumptions, discover new perspectives, and to determine what "home" truly looks like.

Glacier NP and the Grand Tetons postponed until Summer of 2026.
Currently exploring Western Montana and then more of Idaho.
Purchased a Vortex spotting scope with which im hoping to get the phone mount dialed in to get some outstanding wildlife pictures and videos to share!
